Hey all

First year with the boat and just wondering what others pay to get thier boats winterized and stored. The qoutes I've gotten so far are between $1200 and $1500 CND. I really don't know if that is reasonable or should I continue shopping around.

Thanks for any advise

Cheers

It depends on what you are storing and how.
For an 18 ft pontoon here in northern NY I pay about $450 for haul out winterize, shrink wrap storage and launch. My summer slip is $475 at a different dock.Parking is extra by the local municipality.

i pay 110 dollars for complete engine winterization on my 2005 merc 150 xr6(includes hi performance gear oil, grease fittings, fog, stabilizer) and 150 dollars a winter for inside storage in a friends heated barn. IMO thats very cheap insurance for an engine still under warranty and i do not have to worry about anything that i could have done wrong...

Re: What do you pay for winterizing & storage?

Thanks for all the input. With the information you all provided I was able to know a bit about what I was talking about and got the following arranged.
- pressure washed and waxed, all fluids and filters changed and or stabilized including lower unit, fogged, water system, water heater, batteries, waste and I'm sure a number of other things I'm forgetting.
-Shrink wrapped and stored for 7 months
-Spring relaunch.

The original qoute from this marina (which is ideally where I wanted to be) was $1459.00 but after being armed with your info was able to work $1200 even.

So thanks to all, I owe ya a beer

Cheers

$650 to haul out & put it in my cradle & lift in in the spring (i think it's too much). Winterizing is extra & shrinkwrap would run about $500. I do all the winterization myself that way I know it's right.
