The needle at the end of the screw is susceptible to damage if you tighten the screw too hard. 'Seat lightly' simply means don't screw it in hard, finger tight is all that is required.

If the needle is in good condition and the seating surface is clean, finger tight is enough. If you use a screw driver and over tighten it, the needle (and seat) will damage.

If you cannot get your fingers onto the screw then a screwdriver is your only choice, use two fingers to operate the driver. That way you will minimize the amount of force you can apply.

It is one of those things that requires 'feel'. It is not something that can be explained with torque values.

it turn it until it stop just use light pressure. do not turn it like it was a 1/2 inch bolt. as said just use 2 fingers and you thumb to hold the screwdriver.

I use a screwdriver with three fingers. Very GENTLY seat the needle, then back out the desired number of turns.

Just turn the needle with your fingers until it just stops. If you don't understand the term, find a small bolt and nut. Hold the nut with one hand and turn the screw in until it stops. That's what it feels like.
