What does this wire do?

Help! Marine gods!

After replacing my intake manifold due to a crack, I've gotten everything back together but have 1 wire that I can't figure out. It appears to be a ground wire that should be screwed down, but I don't know this for sure or where.

2005 SeaRay 185 Sport, Mercruiser 4.3L Carbureted. s/n 0w324734

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... It's a ground,...

It goes to a screw, up-under the distributer housing...

I have the same wire hanging loose since I got the boat. Showed a picture of it to the dealer and they said it was for diagnostics.

No performance issues, so I left it floating.
I'm going to check for this grounding screw as well.​
