What does VRO stand for?

Sorry, I'm new to this...<br />Can someone please tell me what VRO stands for? I searched Google for about a half hour and have gotten frustrated. <br /><br />Thanks -<br />Tieftoener

No, it makes perfect sense if you think about it. Four strokes don't have oilers, since the oil is contained.<br />On oil injected 2 stoke motors ( as opposed to mixing the gas), different amounts of oil are required at different rpms. You've heard of 'spark plugs fouling while trolling'. This is because there is to much oil injected at idle speeds. I assume the VRO system takes care of this.

It has been my experience (several trips to shop) that it stands for Very Rarely Operates, properly anyway. A quick search of this forum will show that most owners (of the older OMC's at least )have disconnected the VRO and run premix just to be safe.
