What dose this valve do??

I have a new to me 1996 Rinker 266 Feista vee.. Of course no manual or much info on the boat. I noticed this valve in the access hole at the bottom of the stairs in the cabin. Can anyone tell me about this valve... Here are a few pics.

It looks like it keeps your boat from sinking.

That would be my guess also, if, of course, the boat has a head.

Either for the head (if it's a raw water head) or it's an intake for the heat/AC.

Ok... It must be for the head.. I have a push/pull vaccum pump handle for the toilet.. No wonder I cant get it to work right... The valve is on the off position.. I think you guys nailed it... Thanks...
