Ayuh,... It appears to me, to be an obsolete B-20 Volvo motor, 'n an equally obsolete Volvo drive,...

Thanks. I'm really looking for a tri hull with an OB, but a running $200 boat caught my eye.

I'm still tempted...lol!

Don't be. There is no reason to "settle" for anything but a Merc and an Alpha in that size boat. Plenty out there, and can be dirt cheap like one that is one of those that is a net cost, not a net benefit. Took me a while to agree 100% with that, but time here has absolutely convinced me.

The cheapest boat to buy is the most expensive one to own.

I have been to the boat dragging races here in Spokane and that boat does look like a candidate.

It has a B21 Volvo motor. If it had a trailer, it would be worth the risk. You could sell the drive alone for more than $200.

ok...he's got another ad with it for $100. (lol) About the trailer, I have a trailer for my 22'er I'm replacing with a dual axle so I basically have a trailer. Can you at least get gaskets for the engine? I've been restoring vintage motorcycles so I'm used to hunting for parts.

Transom and stringers along with the sole are probably shot as well.

yes you can still get parts for the motor, however if the hull needs to be restored, I wouldnt take it if he offered $100 for me to take it off his hands. disposal fees would be about $300

Parts are easy to get for that engine. It's the same engine that was used in Volvo cars starting in 1976.

I wouldn't worry too much about the drive and engine. Its the hull I would be worried about.
