What engine series?

I just got ahold of a '74 Glastron V-212 Sierra. It has a Volvo 270 outdrive single prop with a Ford 302 V8 with a 4 bl. carb. Does the engine have a model number or series? I've seen aq___ on different posts. What do I have and what HP is it? New here and new to stern drive motors. Thanks all!

Some Volvo combo experts will undoubtedly chime in here but as a general statement Ford 302 Marine 4 bbl's were about 225 hp. Whereas Merc and OMC's versions came straight from Ford I think Volvo may have had more influence on their Ford Versions.

AQ190 for the 302.
If you go to the link below, you can download the owners manual and the brochure with the engine specs.
Just type in AQ190 in the "Engine Type" box.

Thanks Don. The outdrive says 270 instead of 280, is that a big difference?

270 is just an older model to the 280. They work the same and just as good.
