What Evinrude did I buy?

Greetings amigos! (Newbie alert)

So I recently bought a boat for the family (our first) and I'll share pictures of the boat later, but first let me get the professional opinion on the motor; Can you please educate me on how I can figure out the year on the motor? That way I know what's involved in it's maintenance. I know it is a 2-stroke & yes it fires right up.

Just trying to learn more about it.

Appreciate that info. Follow-up questions I have are;

1) What does the "25" & the 60-degree imply?

2) Generally speaking, is it a reliable motor?

2) What maintenance do I need to do, to keep it in good working order.

The 25" is the shaft length. 60 deg is the angle of the V the cylinders make from the crankshaft. They are good motors. Is the VRO still hooked up.?

ok! I now have more knowledge : - )

The VRO is absent. Bought it like that. Been mixing the oil with the gas.

Any suggestions on the maintenance?
