I've got a 17.5' 1988 Invader I/O right now. I'm kind of itching for a new boat... not seriously yet, but am trying to find out what I can fit in my garage...

I can fit a longer boat if the trailer has the "swing around" tongue. BUT, I need the boat to be 8 feet wide or less from trailer wheel to trailer wheel to fit it into my single door wide garage.

Any suggestions??? I really like the Tahoe Deck boats, but they're too wide. But I think I like the deck boat concept. But really I'd like to know any boat that is narrow enough to fit into my garage.

Help!

thanks.

Most 19' runabout boats are Less than 8' wide.....

No trailerboats are Over 8,1/2' wide,.... That's the Legal Limit on the Hi-way........

I did a very brief look at boats in the 18-19ft range 8 ft was the narrowest I found.
I think you should give thought to a 9 ft door for your garage. If you are handy and careful it will require very little materials. If you watch your local swap sheet/pennysaver you can find used doors.I bought
a 10 and 2 9s for $250 and changed my 4 8ft doors to 2 9s and a 10 Best move I ever made.Only 3 doors now but I can get almost anything in and out.

also watch the height with it on the trailer. i've got a 30x30 garage, and can't get the Chris Craft 230 Deck boat in the 7 foot door.
