Other than money, it would have to be 87 octane pump gas. I use 92 octane about once or twice per summer or if I'm on the river and it's the only thing I can get.

2000 Chaparall Signature 290 W/twin 250hp 5.0Gi/Sx drives. She flies on 89 octane and will get nothing less.

89 octane durring the summer when I use the boat more, with a dose of seafoam a couple times a year.. <br /><br />92 or 93 when I know it's going to be sitting un-used for a while..

well, i use 87 octane in my 4 stroke pwc. i use 91 w/lead additive in my 165 mercrusier. only reason i do this is cause that's what it says in the owners manual for the pwc & is the recomended fuel, though 91 is ok too, just not the recomened fuel. and because the mercrusier has a sticker on it that says premium leaded fuel.(only sticker left too) now when im on the river. the fuel i can buy at the marina is labeled 91 premium leaded fuel. hum. leaded. in 2005 at the pump, sounds a little suspisious to me.

The cheapest I can find. Also have to add a lead additive since my heads don't have steel seats.
