I have a 1986 vro 110hp mod.#e110mlcdc motor. I put a non vro pump on it and mixed my own gas for about 4 years. The pump recently went bad and leaked fuel into the crankcase of the engine causing the motor to run on 3 cylinders. The fuel went into the crankcase via the hose that connects it to the diaphram and fouled the spark plug. I know it's the pump because I removed it and blew fuel with a siphon hose direct into the carbs and she ran fine. I went to replace the fuel pump and now instead of costing $160 it costs $400. I was told that I can get a pump for an 88hp from 1983 and up that should work for about $135. Any one hear about this?
