So I wanted to change my outdrive oil this weekend since it is the last step to my boat pre season tune up and I found about 5 different options for the oil, I obviously want to use the right oil and use merc oil or quicksilver or whatever is recommended for this outdrive alpha 1 gen 2 can any one point me in the right direction or does anyone have the part # for the oil I should be looking for? Thanks!

Just use the Merc brand and don't worry about it. You could also use Mobil 1, Amsoil or other synthetic, but so long as it's changed your good.

Merc says 90W, syns are 75W90

The high performance offshore folks like the amsoil extreme gear lube, not the marine grade

I have always used Merc high performance but you can use the premium in an Alpha. There are some places I will skimp but not stuff like that.
