What GPS to get?

Haven't done any homework on GPS units yet, just wondering what you all like? I think I want something portable, to be used in boat OR truck. It would be nice, I think to be able to set way points, or save locations. Also, the ones with street maps, how does that work, to stay current? Do you upload new maps each year.

Garmin - Make sure you get one with a decent screen so you don't need glasses.<br /><br />I do not have maps loaded into mine but I can interface with my maptech software and I download routes that I have taken at the end of the day so I can check the terrain. I use mine mostly in the mountains.

Look into the Garmin 276C. Boat or vehicle.<br /><br />I love mine.
