What happened I'm not get emails anymore

I used to get email alerts when a post was replied to.I went to setting and have things set for instant notification but still no emails.Haven't gotn any since the forumn has changed .Am I the only one with this problem? Is there something else I need to change?

Guys . . . well count me as one that lost email notifications too. Annnnnnd, the bummer is the only solution was to register a new email addy. I held out for a long time and it really sucked as a Mod as I was not getting any spam alerts etc. but I finally caved in. I got myself a free gmail account and have it forwarded to where I want. Pretty painless actually, and it is what I recommend at this point. Sorry . . . :redface:

I put in a new email. Nothing happened so I put back the old one.

that is already my default setting

I just checked and everything on my end is kosher. But still no thread emails.

Can an administrator check into my account?

I put in a new email then later put in my old one. That should have worked but nope.

Are you sure the new email addy didn't work? How long did you leave it with the changed one?

I've tried changing my email address and making sure my settings are set to "instant notification"---still no emails.

Just wondering, is anyone getting notifications?

Yea I change email on the 12th and had no notification since.
And I see there was more post to this thread so it ain't workn for me neither.

OK, I think I have this figured out . . .

First do what I suggested in post #8 if you haven't already. I did and nothing changed for me either. Keep reading . . .

Take a look at this screenshot:

You get there by clicking Settings (in upper right of your screen, blue box, white text), Then click View all Subscribed Threads (button below short list of recently replied to threads).

Then there is a longer list of all threads that you have either started or replied to. Now refer back to the screenshot and your screen should look like it now. Note the little boxes on the right and my green and blue arrows.

The blue arrows show what you need to do first. Check a box or two to the right of the word None. Then go to the bottom right of the list of subscribed threads and check the dot next to Instant, via Email and then click Go:

Once you do that your list should show those that you checked like the ones in the first screenshot next to the two green arrows. What I have found this AM, is that after this procedure all new threads that I reply to automatically show as Instant (green arrows in first pic) annnnnndddd I then get emails for any replies. Trust me, I'm getting bombarded with emails now, and I am going back . . .

If I didn't check them manually as I have described, then they stay as None despite the fact that I set up my "settings" as shown in post #8 . . .

Please ask questions as I know this is confusing, but basically once you manually "force" the Instant label onto your subscribed threads, then the the email notification becomes automatic from that day (moment) forward. At least that's been my experience this morning. What a PITA :facepalm:

Oh, and just cause "it wasn't broken" and didn't need fixing, the upgrade was necessary for other benefits. So whether we like it or not this is the deal. This upgrade was not done just for grins and giggles and to terrorize our good members

Not sure what happened with yorab, heck I am not sure about any of this, but maybe this post is the test for you bignefan. I don't think your own post will notify you. That never happened for me yesterday.

My "Test" post was indeed just to check for a notification. Of course I got none, as you pointed out QC, since it was my own post. But I didn't get a notification of your last post either. It's weird...
