what head for 2000 3.0l mercruiser?????

I have a 2000 3.0l merc in a sea ray 180 that needs a head. Guy sold me boat but left head at machine shop after he couldnt afford repairs they told him to repower. Im rebuilding the motor and need a head i know i have used several different heads on 3.0l in the past but this one has flat top pistons. Is there any certain year models that will work with this engine. I am trying to find one rather buying direct replacement for year model as this is costly. Any help would be appreciated.

Ayuh,... To my knowledge, a 3.0l Head is still a 3.0l Head...
There's been a Bazillion of them over the years,...
I don't know of a listing of casting #s for them either...
Some are Better than others, but they'll All run...

The compression ratio can be adjusted alittle bit with various thicknesses of Headgasket....
