This was what me and two friends did on Sunday, it was me in a 1986 Mercury GM vs. my buddy in a 1989 Buick Electrca T-type. We both had one passenger. The picts don't really show who really won, I finished off two cars with the Ford before we even got the buick, so thats why I have so much more body damige. He T-boned me real hard and messed up something with the fuel sending unit, so I think she's finally dead.

Here are the picts.,
http://photobucket.com/albums/v230/towncar097/Rompin Round The Field/

Maybe I should have put this in the "stupid things you did as a kid" thread. :D

Good one Ryan!

Now do neutral drops till the trans blows, then put a brick on the gas pedal, and shoot holes in the oil pan!

Ken

Ryan,

Let's see you go at it with some "vintage" model "foreign" stuff. If you can find it.

The Ford was finsished Sunday, after school today we beat the buick around a bit more, and I think she's finally had it, too. Once we are done with the cars we call the junk yard, which comes and picks them up, and pays us $35 for them.

DJ, we did actually have a older Nissan Centria(sp) wagon, 4 clinder FWD, it was a TANK!!! It was my friends car, not mine so I didn't drive it much, it lasted a real long time because it was so small and speedy that I couldn't catch it with my Camaro, or GM. My friends took a viper alarm system out of it, and couldn't get it to start after that and we just junked it, but it was one of the better ones that we had.

Right now we have nothing, but we have a Escort lined up, and I might be getting big'o Ford, I love these big american tanks with metal bumpers! ;)

I'll have to follow up with pictures for you guys more often, and if you think the pictures are good, you should see the video :p

My friends dad owns the land, and doesn't mind us going it, (I was shocked at first, too)

As for the glass, we thought about taking it out, but its a pain in the ***. I only had glass shatter on me once, when I got hit in the drivers door, while the window was down, the glass broke inside the door.

I still don't get why Mass has some of the highest car insurance rates in the nation.

Heck Ryan at 18yo I was paying $400 a month for straight liabilty on a 25 yo Ford truck. Way too many tickets and a couple of wrecks will do that to you.

Look in the truck of your car. It has a reset for the fuel pump. It cuts it off if involved in a collision.

Re: What I do for fun (demo derby picts)

Newer cars have the reset button in the trunk, although I didn't go searching for it, I'm almost postive that a '86 doesn't have one, I think that was started in the early to mid 90's

As for tickets and accidents, none for me, thank you very much! :) I did get stoped for speeding, and I was REALLY speeding but I talked my way out of it, and got off with a "don't ever let me catch you again" ;)

If you car is FI then you have the button. My mom had a 87 GM with 302 and it had FI, I was thinking that it had been on a year or two before. Good thing about your lack of tickets, try real hard to keep it that way. Its way too expensive.

The GM isn't FI, its carbed, I'm done with that thing anyway, I picked up my "new" car today.

Its a early to mid 1980s Monte Carlo. . . . pictures will follow ;)
