What if Shift-Interrupt switch does not Move?

Hi,
2008 Mercruiser 5.7L Alpha 1. Installed the shift cables and adjusted. When shifting the prop correctly locks into place both ways . However, as I shift, forward-N-reverse, I do not see the interrupt switch moving at all. What did I miss.
Thanks Roman

If you are not in the water with the props loaded it may not move since there is not much drag on the cable when shifting, the interrupt switch moves when tension is on the cable and this would happen when you have the prop loaded.

i'll be corrected if i'm wrong. but i don't believe the switch will operate on the hose. it needs a load on it to operate. ie. in the water. then it should work. if yer in the water already. i don't know..
