Did search for CDI and came up blank.

Having a problem with 115 TXRS. Trying to do the CDI test as per manual, do you have to disconnect wires from terminal block (other than the over-reve)?

If it fails, then what?

Please see Original Thread For specific info.

Could really use some help.

do you have either a digital volt meter(DVM) with a DVA attachment or a peak reading volt meter?
if not you cant really test the inputs and outputs for the CDI.
then your gonna have to have the manual or tune up spec guide LIT-18559-94-05 for the specs.
napa sells a meter part number 18-9801.

Rodbolt,

Thanks! I have a DVM, will check out peak meter at napa. Have the manual and am learning as I go.

Pulsar resistance check good. Will do others tomorrow.

Does the motor have to be running to do the peak CDI voltage tests? I have 12+ volts with the key on to the CDI terminal panel.
