What is a fair price for a mercruiser outdrive?

I have a boat with the 120 hp Iron Duke. 1975 model year. Transom is rotted out, no time or money to fix. Would like to part this thing out. How much do you think is a fair asking price for this unit, and should I split it apart, {upper/lower}? Hydraulics are good too, part of package or no? Would like to make enough money for a decent down payment on a new boat. Any help would be much apreciated!

It's worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. All depends on your location, demand,used availability and most of all the condition.
Check on e-bay or Kijiji or similar for a guideline.

new aftermarket is 1300.00 so i would say 500.00 for out drive if in good shape as they are expensive to get fixed even for the littlest job.the rest is woth maybe 100.00. check ebay for current pricing.
