I will take a shot at this.<br /><br />I could be wrong but I think it is the name of the strap (regardless of material) that attaches the kill switch - located at or near the ignition switch - to your person. This is to kill the engine in the event that you suddleny leave the captains seat - whether that be overboard or thrown out of the seat. The end that is near the switch will have a piece of plastic or hard rubber that actually holds the kill switch open - jammed between the button and the switch housing.<br /><br />I hope this helps.
