what is a transom jack?

I m selling my 19' in/out 04 chaparral which has a V6 volvo penta in/out drive. Question im trying to get a ball park figure of value on NADA. It asks do I have a "Transom Jack Hydraulic" I don't know what that is or if I have one. what I have is a power control that lifts the out drive . . is that what transom jack is. thanks

That is an item used on ----outboard motor ----models.----Does not apply to your boat.

They literally raise and lower the engine on the back of the boat - much like trim moves the lower unit in and out.

Doing that with an I/O would be quite a trick!
