what is best way to re-enforce a damaged aluminum skin?

i have a aluminum boat that has 4 or 5 quater sized dents in the same area rather close together that i want to pull out then re-enforce from behind to stiffen things up and prevent future damage. What is the best way? Should a tack weld a peice of aluminum sheet on the back side? thanks bill

1/8" rivets are the easiest way to deal with light aluminum sheets.
