what is bump and ttt

stupid question i reckon, but i'm not sure what bump and ttt (to the top) mean. i see them on the posts. just trying to keep up.

A 'bump' or 'ttt (to the top)' is just a reply to an existing thread to 'bump' it back up to the top of the list.

Lastout, it's not a stupid question at all. The main use of the bump is to bring a particular thread back to the top of the list if the questions weren't resolved AND to hopefully prevent someone from creating a new thread on the same question or issue. More than one thread about the same question confuses folks and wastes valuable bandwidth that iboats graciously gives us.
