I have a frankenstein motor. Powerhead is an '85 though(j150tlcos). I'm setting it up as an 85 motor even though the rest seems to be 89 stuff. My factory service manual tells me to read the label on my engine for the proper setting number. The problem is, I can't trust what year or engine the carb cover came off of! It says 28 degrees. Is that correct? My other manual(SELOC) says something like 17-18. Why does the factory 1985 manual give me a timing setting for every motor except the v6's?
