What is missing here and where to find it?

1990 90hp US Marine Force won't shift into reverse. I found the problem but what connects these together? What part is this and where do I find it?

There's a "Gear shift rod coupler" that should still be available through a Merc dealer. Which 90-90 is it? L-drive? Go to "boats (dot) net" and search for part numbers via Year/Make/Model. Simple Then again, how are you shifting it into forward, or are you?

It was in forward when it fell off I guess. lol
