what is sea foam

I have heared alot of good stuff about this product, but what does it do, and how do I use it?<br /> I have heared cases of people spraying it in there carbs while motor running. I have just rebuilt my carbs and see no need in putting it in my carbs. Could I just spray it in my spark plug holes and let it sit?<br /> What is this stuff all about.

I put a can of SeaFoam "Engine Tune" in every third fillup of gas. It keeps my motors cleaner than a whistle. You can get it at any NAPA auto stores. Other people have used the spray and left it in overnight and then blow it out the next day by running the engine. I would decarb with the spray if you have never decarbed that motor before. Then add a can every third fillup after. You will be glad you did.

This stuff really is amazing. People that haven't used it laugh and make fun...and I make fun of them because they don't know what they are missing. Even if you rebuilt the carbs I would still spray smome in while it's running. I have a 150hp inline 6 Merc that wouldn't go over 1200 RPMs under load. I rebuilt the fuel pump and that didn't help. I sprayed about half a can of seafoam through the carbs at idle...now 6000 RPMs under load is a breeze. You'll probably want to clean or replace your spark plugs after the first use. I also sprayed some in each cylinder. Just a few minutes ago I was trying to get an old lawnmower started...wouldn't run without being choked. I sprayed some seafoam in and now it runs great! I know I sound like a late night commercial, but it really does work great!

The liquid SeaFoam is used to maintain the fuel system and stabilize the fuel. The spray is used to remove carbon buildup, especially on the rings, pistons, and heads. Spraying it thru the carbs is how it is applied to the backside of the pistons and rings. Spraying it into the carbs is not intended to clean them.
