I have a 1992 Wellcraft Eclipse 196 XL that originally came with a 4.3l with 4 barrel. I am replacing the motor with a newer Gen+ 4.3l vortec engine and plan to use the original 4 barrel quadrajet Rochester carb. What intake manifold will perform the best for this application? I am only aware of two options: GM cast iron (http://www.michiganmotorz.com/Marin...-+4+Barrel+Vortec+Intake+Manifold+(1996-2008)) and Edelbrock aluminum 2114. Will I notice any performance difference betweens these two considering the Edelbrock is about $75 more? The boat is only used in fresh water so I will not have to worry about the aluminum corroding.
