I am wondering what anyone else is using that has this same engine. I have this engine on a Bayliner 19.5 foot capri. The prop that I have on there is a 13" x 17 and is only giving me about 4600 RPM at WOT. The engine says on the sticker on the side of it, it should run between 4800-5800. Should I go down to a 15 Pitch prop, to try to get it up a few hundred RPM's?

Thanks,
Bryan Cox

That's pretty close to spec, Bryan. I'm by no measure, the prop-guru, but it sounds so close, I would check the throttle stop, and make sure it is tuned to perfection, lighten the hull to the max, and then try it.
60lbs of gas wieght would be enough to limit WOT RPMs by 500 or so, and more, if you include anchor, coolers, bait well and other gear onboard.

Hey, Bryan.
Posting this question without the information in the thread you already started is going in the wrong direction.

Responders: look at the other thread. Essential info is there.

:)
