I have a 1966 80 HP Johnson engine. There is a sticker on the motor compartment that said that I should mix 1 quart oil with 5 gallons of gas for the first 5 hrs, and the rest is unreadable. Should I still use 50:1 ratio because of the age?

Thanks

Yes 50:1.1 quart per 5 gal is just to run oil rich mix until rings are seated and bearings wore in.
