and "regular" foot motors? Are they the high thrust motors for kickers?
Also, any info on what a 2006 15 hp bigfoot 4 stroke would weigh?

15 hp Bigfoot weighs 127lbs. dry weight compared to 111 lbs. for the regular. Bigfoot has a 2.42:1 gear ratio whereas the regular one has 2.0:1.

I always thought the Bigfoot version was for Pontoons where their gear ratios put out a higher thrust.

This is an excerpt off Mercury's website:

"Whether you have a 2.5 for your small fishing boat, a BigFoot for your pontoon, or a 115 for your runabout, the key elements of quality are always there for you. Their instant starts and clean, quiet operation. Their flawless performance under almost any condition. Their durable components and advanced technology. All together, these elements combine to provide the engine security you not only crave, but deserve."

You're right Expidia, Bigfoots are typically used on party barges for the reason you stated. Doesn't mean they won't work on other rigs of course.

Thanks for the info. Someone selling one said it weighed 86 lbs. Oviously he is wrong ...and probably just took a wild guess.

Bigfoots, er bigfeet, use a larger diameter prop and have a lower gear ratio. This is good for pushing heavy boats like pontoons.
