what is the normal operating RPM range for a 1998 oceanrunner 225

its gonna be on a wellcraft 25 foot walk around. can i run it too low with too much of a load and kill the motor or is it a high reving motor?

Prop it for around 5800 at wot with a light load.First thing you'll want to make sure of is that you place the engine at an optimal height setting.The anti-ventilation plate running even with the boat bottom when viewed out of water is a good starting point.Only a water test can confirm final placement and optimal prop selection.

I go with 5800 as well....you asked where it should be, and got the answer.<br />I will add that your concern of being lower makes me wonder what you are looking for..????<br />5500 down will shorten engine life extensively if that's all you can get.
