Hi again
The way Ive understood it is that the engines that starts with a letter is newer then those starting with a number, I have the same engine as you, mine starts with an A. I saw this article not long ago, and since my engine is in pieces I havent tried it, but will when I get it togeter again if this is correct(0,40 if I dont remember wrong). I set it at 0,20 when I did it last time, and it run fine. Ive read here that if you dont get it right the manifold and cooling can become hotter, so I really would like to hear what others might have to say!
About the presto Im not sure, but I believe that its the one with conventional ignition.
Regards
Affa

ok all.. thanks for all your responses.. i finally got her running again.. i changed the gap to .019 and she is still idling at 1500 rpms.. it starts off at that and doesnt kick down,, like the choke isnt opening or closing. when i wasnt able to start it i pushed the linkage up and down from the carb.. would that have anything to do with the rpms staying at the 1500 ...i winterized her by changing the oil n filter, sucking in 5 gallons of antifreeze thru the muffs and then fogged her.. although the engine tried to stall but never did. i finally shut the key off when the last bit of antifreeze was going into the drive. i also drained andd refilled the lower unit oil.. what else is left to do.. thanks again...
