What is the socket size needed for 150evinrude flywheel nut?

I have an '85 150 johnson powerhead. I need to take the flywheel off. Does anyone know the correct size socket needed to remove it? I need to go purchase it for my impact gun and it will save me alot of time!!!

Did you try measuring the nut?

Measure flat to flat on the nut. Should be in inches, not metric.

Thanks for the info! I measured 1 5/16" flat to flat. I've been turning wrenches for 20 years and I never knew that !!!! Thanks-a- million!
