It looks like it may be a 70's or even older and if so, make sure you can find pistons.

Otherwise I don't think it would be a good candidate for rebuilding....

Thats why it is so cheap. Its probably good for parts only but if it has a steel prop, that's worth the asking price alone not to mention the tilt&trim...

If that engine has a working lower unit, it is worth the $100. The engine has to be at least a 78, you'd have to check the model number to be sure. If it is a VRO engine, it's at least an 84. Factory parts are readily available for rebuilding these crossflows: pistons, rings, gasket kits, etc. I'd pull the heads and check to make sure it's not a blown engine with .030 over pistons already.
