What is this boat worth?

Well. My friends dad is selling his boat, and I would love to buy it. I have no clue what its worth though so I came here hoping I can get some numbers.. Sadly I do not have any pictures, and I can't remember the brand of boat. But anyways.. Its a ten foot boat - not the crappy jon boat kind ,its fiberglass. It has been garage kept for its whole life.. And It runs excellent and looks new. It comes with a trailer that is in perfect shape, great tread on tires, spare tire and working lights. The motor is a 6hp Yamaha. It is 4 stroke and very new (I would guess 2007+) It comes with a nice gas tank also. I'm not sure what brand of boat it is.. but I remember the logo has a big hook in it. I have personally fished from the boat with three large people and its wonderful. What would a boat like this be worth? Again, my family and theirs are very close so I we could probably get a big discount on it. This post is very generall and I'm only looking for rough estimates.

And, I'm guessing this boat can be trailered easially behind any sedan?

price the motor ($600?) and add $100 for the boat and $150 for the trailer, if they are in that good condition.
A fiberglass 10' boat could be anything. Aluminum jon boats are fairly standard.

If you want an accurate estimate then take the time to photograph the boat motor and trailer, then come back and re post. The more information you give, the more information you'll get in return. For now, my answer to your question is...........It's worth what then next owner is wiling to pay for it.

Alright thanks for giving me some kind of ballpark range... I was thinking more like $2500. I will take pictures the next time I am there (probably tomorrow)

Yeah haha. It was very cramped, and I was skeptical if It would even float at first, but the boat is oddly very wide for its length.

Without some pictures and knowing what kind of boat, trailer and motor, there is really no way to figure out any worth, so right at this point in time, I would have to say, it is worth nothing, they should pay you to haul it away!

Used Yamaha 6hp 4-stroke ~ roughly 1k if its that new and in good a shape as you say...

like a previous poster, add about 100 bucks for the hull, and 1-200 for the trailer (also if in good shape)... i'd give 1200ish for that setup max.
