For this boat, there's two on the front bow, what is this piece of hardware for? Also, there's more on the sides.

Also, on the left side, there is a carpet thing all the way to the trim, what is that?

There is a piece of metal on the floor near the front... is that a under floor storage (fishing rods?)?

I called them and they still have it (under pile of snow), and mention that there is damage on the carpet from squirrels. I couldn't see it on the photos? I am not sure if I would want it, the price is little high, and wonder if the 16' would be little crowd? They did mention to me that they plan to put it for auction if not sell by spring and they feel they would get $5,000 for it. I am aware that Minnesota boats sells higher than Wisconsin prices.

most likely storage for tackle, rods, gear, bodies, etc.

Maybe anchors for Kite fishing or downriggers? Dunno??

As for price...might be in line.

As for size...depends on how many you take out with you. 2 would probably be fairly comfortable fishing or cruising. 4 for a short amount of time may be a touch cramped but doable cruising, wouldn't attempt to fish that in that size of boat - btdt.

The 2 things on the front are base plates for fishing rod holders. If they don't come with the boat, you can easily buy them.

The carpeted thing on the left side is a hatch to store fishing rods.

The metal thing on the floor in the front is a latch to open an in-floor compartment. Since I''m not familiar with that particular model, I don't know what it is. It could be dry storage, a bait well, or ?

If the dealer can't answer your questions, you need to find a better dealer.

If the boat is under snow now, then they don't value their inventory of used boats, and you need to find another dealer.

From what you say about how the boat is stored at a Marine dealer I wouldn't walk away I would run if I could. My advise to anyone is to never buy any vehicle, actually anything I can't see 1st hand or test drive on a road or on the water. I presume you aren't going to see it 1st hand at the dealers. I have a more than a few horror stories about folks that got stung buying sight unseen especially AS IS.

Can anyone tell me what and why all those fasteners are on the floor carpets? I've not seen that before on a boat, vynall floors yes but not carpets. They sell all types of glue that hold Marine carpets down these days. I'm puzzled. again.

I noticed that too. I assume it's normal (original)? I still need to look around more to learn more.

They look like snap heads for holding the carpet down and making for easy removal to rinse the boat out when needed, I have seen carpet held down with snaps in quite a few different models of boats.

Floor is secured in sections, so you can access electrical, livewell plumbing, and fuel cell that are under the floor.

#1 Rod holder base, probably Cabelas or Attwood brand.
#2 fold out drink holder
#3 socket for post mounted navigation lights
#4 Fuel fill cap for under floor built-in fuel cell.
#5 Seat base so you can move one of the pedestal seats to this location.

Dealers description says the boat is 9' 1" wide.
It is not.
It is 91" wide ( 7' 7" )

The boat is plenty big for 2 fisherman trolling or casting.
4 fishermen if you are still fishing, like bobber fishing or vertical jigging.

Its certainly much bigger than the boats you started out looking at.

Those black plastic fish rod holder and their bases are pretty good. They are fiber reinforced plastic and are real strong. I use them saltwater trolling and dead-sticking for for Blues and Stripers. I never had one come close to breaking.

West marine (and likely iBoats) have the fishing pole holders that fit those bases, if they are not included.

you people are much sharper than I, all I see is an ad for a used boat? For what its worth in my neck of the woods the price is good. Boat, motor and trailer for 5k seems like a fair price.

Thank you for looking closely at the photos. I didn't spot the #3 (socket for navigation lights), even I did looked for such lights on front tip of hull.

So, is that why there's "snaps" or "screws" all over the floor? This boat indeed has a deep V hull, so should be able to hide few 6' muskies.

Wow, a gas fill spout (#4). I think I would rather have the portable tank, but this isn't a buying issue.

I got the #5 (seat base). Could you tell what is that metal piece on the floor right next to the helm? A lock handle (to pull up the floor)?

It's 5 hours drive to that state, just highway. So, if I happen to be there, then I know to go look at it.
Its certainly much bigger than the boats you started out looking at.
Indeed was trying to be open mind :thumb:

portable tanks suck once you have had a built-in.
