What is this thingy?

Post after post I read about this thingy called “The Boss”. Where do you get one of these “Boss” thingies? They sound expensive. Is financing available or do you have to pay with cash? Do they take up a lot of your space? Do they break down often? It sounds like they are made of iron. Are they heavy? Will it fit in my boat?

Some posts state that these “Bosses” tell them what to do. That makes me wonder if a “Boss” is some kind of game. Monopoly, Risk, Life. I have all those games. They come in a box. This “Boss” thingy seems to come with baggage.

Whatever this “Boss” thingy is, I think I’ll put it on my bottom of my wish list. For now I’m off to the boat show to look for that thingy that’s number one on the list.

Cheers!

If it comes with official paperwork it must be good.

I've got 2 bosses, one at the office and another at home, both women, and both pretty darn nice folks, BUT, I know "when to sit down and shut up!";)

Where do you get one of these “Boss” thingies?

pick one up at any bar, it will be in an unfinished "single girl" type packaging.

They sound expensive.

to quote fast and furious: "more than you can afford, pal."

Is financing available or do you have to pay with cash?

cash just goes into a black hole, financing is the only way and the loan term is generally either for life or half of what you own after a couple years.

Do they take up a lot of your space? Do they break down often? It sounds like they are made of iron. Are they heavy? Will it fit in my boat?
1. depends 2. lol, worse than a car 3. depends 4. depends

the baggage is part of the game. the game was created by lucifer inc.

Yes it does! That's the certificate of authenticity, and also a signed affidavit committing you to only one boss at a time (exclusions apply if you live in Colorado city).

To answer some of your other questions;

Yes they can be expensive... The proposition alone to acquire a specific boss can set you back thousands (financing is available with a nominal interest fee), although most consider this proposition to their potential boss for quite some time, and usually believe their boss a worthy investment.

They usually take up no more space than the right side of your bed.

Break downs do occasionally occur, and are usually related to your interactions with the boss. There is also a monthly maintenance cycle on the younger to middle aged bosses. These times can be difficult periods for some bosses, but usually a level of understanding and a fair amount of chocolate provided by you will have your boss feeling better in no time.

Some are made of iron, some are made of roses, and still some are made of both. Bosses come in several weights, sizes, and colors.

99% of most bosses will fit in your average boat. Some will even vastly improve the appearance of your boat as well. Most in general will make boating a more pleasurable event.

Having a boss is not a game, but rather a life experience. If you choose your boss wisely, the benefits of having a boss should far outweigh the draw-backs.

:D ;)

Ayuh,... Usually in 'bout a Week.....

Suppose I should have clarified that in my Q&A.

As a disclaimer...
Some bosses do feel better relatively quick after the initial onset of the maintenance cycle, some do not. Others have a warning period before said maintenance cycle that in some cases can be worse than the actual cycle. Think of it as like the MIL/Check engine/SES light on your vehicle, only instead of illuminating in front of your eyes, there is usually allot of loud audible warnings.... :D

Would there be an override procedure for this mechanical dysfunction or does it smooth out over due course?

While many have attempted to perform an override procedure, few are usually successful. In most cases an override attempt only results in an overheat condition where after the boss will usually relegate you out of the immediate area for your own safety until the boss returns to a normal temperature.

Those who persist in trying to attempt an override procedure will usually experience a china shattering, door slamming, ear bleeding melt down... After which such an occasion occurs you will most likely be required by the boss to take refuge on the couch for several days until the boss returns to normal operating temperature.

Best to just to play it cool, and let things smooth out as they normally do. At some point the boss will eventually be maintenance cycle exempt.

Re: What is this thingy?

So if I’m to understand this correctly, this “Boss” thingy has a voice and sometimes malfunctions.

Does it tell you if there are fish under the boat?

I'm sorry but I don't have a couch on my bass boat.
