What is this?

What do you call the little adaptor that fits on the shaft on the bottom of the trim motor. Its like an extension of the shaft, and it fits into the insert of the pump. It apparently is like some sort of shear pin that will break to prevent something major form breaking. What do I call this thing, and can I get it online here somewhere. If any of you can direct me to a link, I would be grateful. Thanks

Yamaha calls it a connector shaft.
