What is this?

This is on a 150 Yamaha. I am reconnecting the motor after a deck rebuild, and I am not sure what it is or what it does. Does anyone recognize it? It is on the starboard side of the motor with a long wire that runs from the motor up to the center console. Any help will be appreciated.

Is it a wire or a tube? If a tube, likely for the speedometer.

Can you post a zoomed out picture of it so I can see surrounding components. Otherwise, find a yamaha wire color code chart online and match the colors of those wires to the info provided in the chart. At least that will narrow down what it is.

looks like the harness to the Tachometer. If it is a 2 strokes, it should provide info about oil reservoir level. 1
