what is wrong with my throttle. help....

I have an 90 wellcraft with what i belive is original quick silver shifter in it. Last year i changed the shifter and throttle cable in it and when i put it back togather the shifter was really stiff when im in gear but when im in netraul its super smooth. that was my first time i ever changed cables so i may very well have touched something i shouldnt have but i have had it apart twice now and i cant figure it out.any advice would help.

Was it stiff bofore you put the cable in? Did ya route it the same? Pics?

no it was not stiff before i did it. and yes i checked the routing of the cables. what do you want pics of??
