Re: What is your favorite bait for different fish?
We use live ghost and mud shrimp for sturgeon. Live mudsuckers and bullheads for stripers.
yeah, that's pretty much what I use when I go out to Napa. Gets expensive. I've had pretty good luck getting bullhead and mudsuckers in little traps off the sea ranch shore. Not much luck catching anything with them there though. Hoping it stops raining this week so I can get out on the water.
I'll be off the shore at the Sea Ranch later this afternoon

I guess it's better than nothing for a rainy day.
What I'd really like to learn about is lure casting or jigs for striped bass out in Tuburon, but I'm still new to fishing.
As for region, I am usually in Napa (29 bridge, sea ranch, marker 7 or 9), Bodega (outside jeti), China Camp (cliffs), Tiburon (paradise), hwy 37 (shore by the bird watching place) or Black Point (2 miles in)....not sure about
other places around here.
Still trying to figure out trolling, but always looking for new tips with bait.
thanks guys! and anymore tips or tricks are welcome. I guess it would have helped to tell where I fish, but there's always good info for fishing based vacations in other places
