What kind of battery to buy/

for that 17ft 87 bass tracker with an 80hp motor. WHat kind should I buy (specs)
Am I going to need a seperate battery for the trolling motor/trim.

you need to get a starting battery for the motor, i would get at least 550cca or more.

the trolling motor needs its own deep cycle battery.

Agree, find a good strong starting battery, I prefer something in the 650+ CCA range. The trolling motor would be best with one or two deep cycle batteries.
