I recently traded for a bayliner boat that I need some info on. if any one can help with the supplied info as to what kind of bayliner I have ,it will help out in my quest to get things repaired. thanks for any and all help. this being my first boat, I need all the help I can get from the members vast knowledge . IT has a 125hp force motor that I've already repaired[loose magnet in flywheel] .the boat has been setting up the past 3 years because no one wanted to work on the motor . after getting the manual, and checking things out, I got the motor to fire. hull#bljdo7kdc888 . any way thanks in advance for the help on I.D. ing this boat .

Re: what kind of boat do I have?

a picture would sure help.. do you know the year, boat or motor. force & bayliner teamed up from around '83 & i think into the 90's to package a low budget - entry level boat/ motor so people could get on the water. i have a '84 capri cuddy cabin w/ the 85hp force. is your boat a cuddy, bowrider or walkaround (trophy - bayliners fishing package)? now, does the boat say anything other than bayliner on it? mine says capri on the port & starboard side near the front seats. bayliner is on both sides near the gunnel.

Welcome!

Yeah, pictures would be helpfull as you hull ID turns up as something made by Blancocraft in Robstown, TX. Probably not correct if it's a Bayliner.

Re: what kind of boat do I have?

guys thanks for the quick replys, I read yesterday about bayliner owners manuals on line ,gave them a call and talked to dave allen who was very helpful. it turns out I have a 1988 1800 cobra bow rider ,less than 100hrs on it!Other than some cracking on the seats its in great shape, floors solid, and other than cleaning out the carbs ,replacing the fuel pump diaphram [some one did a bunch of stuipid things because of a loose magnet in the flywheel,ie installed an electric fuel pump, bypassed kill switich]changing lower end oil it looks like for under $350.00 i'll have a decent ride. anway, thanks for the help and look forward to posting again with up dates.
