Hello all. new to the site. A friend who I work with has an older lund, he thinks its a 14 or 15ft, but he has no idea on the year or the model. He is going to let me use the boat for the summer and if I can decide if i want to buy it after the summer. This is the only picture I have of it at the moment. I realize I may be asking for alot but can anyone tell what model or year this is? thanks!

Hard to tell all covered up. Pull the hull ID # and run it here that will give you the answer for sure. Pretty nice friend if he's gonna let you use his boat all summer.

Ok once I get it to my house and all uncovered I will post some more pics. Can you tell me where I can find the hull id and once I do find it where do I run it? Yea he's a pretty good guy, he said I can use it for the summer and then decide if I want to buy it from him. Thanks for the help!

Re: What kind of boat is this??

So I finally got the boat yesterday. There is a tag near the throttle that says model: dart and it was made by shell lake fiberglass division. Looks like there was a vin tag of sorts on the back of the boat that was removed and replaced with a home made one. Any other locations on the boat where I can find a hull id?

Sure sounds like the boat is a Lund Dart model.

Probably early 70s vintage.

What else did you want to find out?

Ok well i was curious of the year but early 70s sounds good enough to me. I was mainly looking for a picture of the boat in its stock form. I cant seem to find one anywhere, I have been looking all over the internet for the past 2 days with no luck.

Try contacting Lund, they may have some old brochures they could mail out. I've heard from more than one person that Lund is able to help out with their older models.

Most boat companies have changed ownership so much that this is impossible, but Lund has not changed in years.
