a quality marine grade silicone will be sufficient

if you have rotting/losing material in the holes use 3M 4200 marine sealant/adhesive, its spendy though - bout $30 a tube

You can get 4200 or 5200 at Lowes or Home Depot for $14 a tube. Lowes has it in a little boat section by the chain and rope and stuff.

Maybe they don't have one but it is possible you missed it.

Its only about 3 feet long. In the same isle as the chain and rope I think. All they have is some anchor line, cleats, and those rubber dock things.

None at any Lowes or Home Depot here...Must be a regional thing.

Do use 4200 in the lag bolt holes....No silicone!

silly cone sealent?
only use I know of it on any hull systems is a toss.
take a few friends, a few tubes of silly cone.
see who can chunk it of the bow the farthest.
other than that, very few uses of silly cone on a boat.
on those lag bolts.5200 or 4200.
NO sillycone.

Different location and different selection, FL vs NV. Neither of those places has a marine section out here, they do have some trailer stuff though, and one has 3m 5200 :D
