HELLO ALL IM NEW HERE I WAS WONDERING WHAT KIND OF GAS WOULD BE BETTER I HAVE A 40 FORCE AND I LIVE IN IOWA I GOT 87 OR 89 OCTANE LAST YEAR I WAS PUTTING 87 IN BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN TOLD TO THIS YEAR I HAVE BEEN PUTTING 89 IN CAUSE ITS LIKE A COUPLE PENNYS CHEAPER SHOULD I STICK WITH 87 OR 89 WILL IT HURT MOTOR ANY???? THANKS

87 octane is fine for your engine. <br /><br />The problem with most 89 or higher octane fuels is that most of them have alcohol added to it. This is bad for some components of your fuel system. <br /><br />It may also have additional additives that will cause problems, this has been debated here, and no concensus evolved. <br /><br />So stick with an 87, or 89 if alcohol free.
