What kind of Starcraft is this?

Hi there - first time posting on this site. I have been searching the forum for awhile to try and find one like this but i haven't so here goes.

Bought this starcraft on the cheap a few years ago with the hopes of restoring it and haven't had time to look at it until about a month ago. I can't figure out the year/model.

The floor is in pretty good shape, good enough to get out in pieces to make a template for a new one. Was thinking of some kind of epoxy over plywood but not sure how that would work out but would be nice and grippy. not going for show, just want this to be my decent fishing boat.

Welcome to iboats and the dry dock unleaded!

Lots use epoxy to seal the wood components in their Starcrafts but it'll need some protection from UV. There are oodles of SC rebuild threads a search should turn up about anything you want to know about resto-ing one. Or simply keep the pics(we love pics) coming and ask away.

If you know a year Huron Angler has a good list of the SC brochures you can look at to try and ID. No expert but I've seen 16' models like that that I believe are called a Kingfisher but I'm not sure.

Judging by the trailer it looks to be a mid 70's. The side console would make it a Kingfisher, I think they came in 16 and 18 foot models. The ID tag should be just forward of the motor controlls. Check my bottom link, I'm in the middle of it now.
