Saw a great deal on one around here. I know it puls 208 hp, so Im guessing maybe 14 mpg? The 352 is a real stump puller and last forever. Any comments would be appreciated :)

If my memory serves me right, the 352 is part of th FE family which includes the 390,427,428 motors. And I believe that they raced 352 cui engines at one time.

Yep..it is one of the old FE blcoks. They had up to 360 hp in the T-birds with that motor, an aluminum intake and a 4 bbl...that would be a neat hop-up, or move up to a bigger motor of that series...all the way up to the 428 super cobra jet...

I believe that a 390 intake will fit the 352, the last year they made the 390 you could get it with EI and FI, you may have to double check that.

Pretty truck if those are indeed the original colors, one of my missed paint schemes on cars, the two tone.
I notice its a custom cab with much of the trim intact, weird to see such a intact, rust free and generally decent old truck for that kind of money.
Nothing like that available in the rust belt.

Three on the tree sometimes had an overdrive either electric or mechanical with the latter being a bit more reliable. Could make it a better cruiser, tho who knows about high speed driving in that 45 year ole' Ford.

Re: what kinda mpg 65 f100 w/ a 352 and auto?

A girl I know named Debbie had one of those. She was introduced to me as someone that might be able to help her get it running right. After umpteen tune up parts I found that clamping the slightly dried out rubber hose on the vacuum advance with a piece of bailing wire fixed it.

I got so excited that it was running right when I was test driving it that I forgot about a stop sign, and slid through it going downhill on sandy pavement. Took the left front corner off the pickup, and the front half off the comet I hit.

Debbie just laughed it off. She didn't get mad, she got even. She married me.

That was in 1969. We're still working it out.

yeah we have good ones here, i got a 66 Chevy truck for $950, bone stock, glass tires, all orig hub caps, no rust, one dent, good wood bed, 283, powergilde, interiror was good too, although had to ducttape seat as vinyl was cracking, besides that was nice. I put maybe $150 into it. Sold it 2 or so yrs later for $2500.... :)

Hey ezbtr, you wanna go into business??
I've got an Illinois dealers license, we could make a killing on those old trucks
