Mohagony and Teak are common woods used on boats.
Magogany is usually stained and varnished with one of many types of marine finishes made today.
Teak is usually oiled While these woods are beautiful when finished right
They are are pretty pricey and do require frequent maintenance. And certainly not as comfortable as a cushion.

Redwood is also strong, rot resistant and beautiful. It's a common wood in boats. Cedar is used for some boatbuilding but it's quite soft.
