for you "Fishing Machine" owners. I guess Fish N Ski owners should be pretty much the same?

I'm trying to see if the 48" shaft is long enough, or is the 54" shaft recommended for a Minn Kota.

Re: What Length Shaft On Your Trolling Motor

Well, I was able to get my original powerdrive measured. The shaft that I could measure came out to 45". I dont see a 45" as an option, so I'm guessing it must be the 48". Which works fine.

In case anyone else asks this question.

My motorguide wireless that came with the 2007 FM165 is advertised as having a 54" shaft. The boat is in storage so I can't measure it directly.

I have a 60" on my 175 F&S and it might be a couple of inches too long.

The 54 would be the minimum if you are using it in any kind of swells.
